TRAIL MARKER UNVEILING CELEBRATED
Your contributions are enabling the Pullman Civic Trust and
the City of Pullman
to add trail markers along our local trails and pathways
In addition to these trail markers,
your donations will help support PCT's continuing efforts
to provide more amenities to our existing trails, and add
new trails to Pullman's growing trail network. A new wayside
park on N. Grand, information kiosks, and mileage markers
are currently in the planning stages.
Distinctive and artistic signs, designed by local graphic
designer and trail enthusiast David Hoyt, identify individual
trail segments.   The markers add beauty to the trail
system and make it more navigable for new users.
Now that the signs are being installed, look for an impressive
selection of names engraved on the recognition plaques for
the trail segment of each donor's choice.
The public celebrated the addition of new trail signs
to the Pullman Loop Trail and Spur system on June 10,
2010.

All
nine trail signs were on display, together with a trail system
map. |
 |
The Trail Marker Unveiling Party
began at Pine St. Plaza. |
 |
Lucas Kreikemeier and Alex Kale provided music! |
 |
New signs
and balloons complemented the festivities. |
 |
Along with hats and boas
and more balloons. |
 |
A "Trail Trivia" activity
provided each participant with a free entry for a door prize
drawing. |
 |
Following the official presentation
of the markers, the party traveled down the Downtown Riverwalk
to the Koppel Farm shelter, where refreshments, more music
and the door prize drawing completed the celebration. |
